Ok my hand goes up i had my daughter pay my phone and internet bill on my optus smart phone up
Before i could tell her the amount on the APP was wrong she paid it with my card . Correct amount came up she paid it a second time . Tried to contact optus no luck
48 hours later as it said will come out yep they took both amounts .
I decided to be nice i actually got through to someone an indain
Yes you paid x amount and XX amount
Yes thats correct second x is the right amount
So Indian tells me we will credit the first amount off your next bill ok
UMM no you accepted both amounts and the one that is not right is my money thats right we will take it off your next bill umm no its my money i would like it returned but we will credit you .
No thanks return my money please but that will take 7 to 10 days thats ok i need that money but we will no return my money please.
Ok that will take 7 to 10 days fine return it please .
Geez it was my mistake i accept that but its my money
So text message telling me its complete then Email saying 5 days .
So why the hard sell we will deduct it from your next bill
Just watch paying on APPS
and direct debit used to use that for another phone net company that kept taking money out after we ended the contract

All of these large communications type organisations like Optus, Telstra, Sensis, and the like are absolutely fantastic at the marketing of their products and telling you how good their stuff can help you or your business. They are excellent at providing you a prompt invoice for their service and of course following up non-payment.

It is just the stuff in between that they are usually crap at.
IE Delivering the service.

My business has had an ongoing battle with one of those organisations about our web and phone listings. They out and out lied about what they were promising to deliver and by when. They had issued their invoice, reminder statement and final demand before they had even commenced the service engaged.

This is the way Tech-head organisations operate in today's fast paced commercial environment.

God help the average consumer.

"Not happy Jan".

.....and don't even start on the whole NBN fiasco!
