Happy to criticize the AFL any chance I get, but have to agree with them re: Jonas.

If you think it was premeditated and he had an intent to hurt Gaff, call him and grub.

If you think it was a split second decision on the football field that was clumsy, looked ugly and deserved a holiday, don't call him a grub.

" Deserved a Holiday". Hmm. "Split-second Decision", perhaps he is just a slow-thinker. The AFL's decision would seem to back that up. 6 games, c'mon! ( The AFL decided it was pre-meditated and intentional, otherwise it wouldn't have been 6.)

Looking at the hit
It's simple if he didn't raise his arm/elbow he would not have been reported .
Him addressing the media before the decision was made did not help his situation. I only saw it on channel 7 very little remorse shown by him .
And let's be honest what he did was very old school back in the old days that happened a lot .
These days you can not get away with doing that .

Perhaps coaches need to tell players don't do stuff like that it's not the 1970s doing stuff with elbows doesn't fly anymore

What he did was not enough to deserve a label - although that seems the way of the world these days.

It was reckless, and I do believe he intended to 'make him earn it'. That said - I very much doubt he intended to cause the damage he did, and I'm certain all that makes him is a bloke who made a mistake.

"Pre-meditated" is not the same as intentional.

Pre-meditated means he had it planned all along, intentional means he had intent to cause harm in the incident.

If he's a slow thinker then he'd be in Westies back line. Laughing

Umm, if you are comparing Jonas to them, well, fair enough! ( I just think that the AFL should go after the late high-tacklers, and it looks like they are.)

So late high tacklers are "grubs".

Good, I think we've established your requirements for calling someone a grub are pretty minimal. Cheers.

Your comprehension is a bit off, Booney, Like I've said about three times now, INTENTIONAL high tacklers, like Late, at the Head, is pretty Grubby, in my book........

I'm glad we didn't mention the port magpies player that got reported for kicking an Eagles player in the pack at Woodville oval .
Different Eagles different port except I understand both ports were losing
When they start to loose do they go back to port from the old days
I just ask that seeing Graingers name was brought up
Does seem a bit like port of old loosing so start a fight see how they react back .

Just a thought
