This is the press release from Norwood's website:

"Vale Gerry Harrison

It is with great sadness that we inform members of the passing of Life Member Gerry Harrison.
Gerry was a past player, who debuted for Norwood in 1959, and played 118 games primarily in the centre or back pocket. Gerry was also Norwood Reserves' coach in 1965 and in season 1966 he captain-coached the reserves side to a Premiership, playing an excellent game in the Grand Final.
Gerry also served the Club as a Board Member and Deputy Chairman from 1995 to 2003 and Chairman of the Norwood Football Club Committee from 2000 to 2003.
Gerry was awarded Life Membership of the Club in 1999."

I think it's worth noting the passing of each former SANFL player. Gerry was just before my time as a player, but if I remember correctly he was also a SANFL TV commentator.

Yes, pretty sure he was.

Can picture him well. Sorry to hear that news.

F10
Gerry Harrison was a SANFL commentator for the ABC
Was a genuine club man and a very well presented person
Would often do the after match presentations in the old Wood Street complex

can't remember him as a player but certainly can as a broadcaster, he had that voice that made it just a bit more exciting & entertaining when watching the replays on a Saturday night

RIP Gerry Harrison
