Simple answer is support your club and stop looking at stupid sabotage arguemnts etc. Community stations are not the answer anyway.

Don't think it was intended to be a cost cotting excercise, it just looks like it will turn out to be that case this season, with RPH making the decision themselves to withdraw from the coverage, not the League pull them out.

I'm pretty sure the SANFL had budgeted to have RPH broadcast this season and with them now pulling out, there will be some savings to the League, one would have thought...

There will still be some costs to the League to have the games covered in some capacity, which should be confirmed early next week with the weekly broadcast allocation.

Heard the SANFL got sick of the RPH employee's getting over paid to provide the service.

The "SANFL Stream Team" will be commentating the games that RPH would have normally done...

Callers will include the following:

Neil Cross, Michael Maney, Don Cooper, Chris Kendall, Grant Coffee, Phil Aspinall, John Nankivell, Phil Herden and a few more throughout the year.

After a couple of years back home in Tasmania reading the Sports News, it is great to have Michael Maney back in Adelaide and being involved in SANFL broadcasting...

We will again have special guests, such as Norwood coach Ben Warren, join us in a Special Comments role at varying times throughout the year.

Our first game will be the Norwood v Port clash this Thursday night with Neil Cross, Michael Maney and myself bringing you all the action.

On Friday, at My Money House Oval, Don Cooper, Grant Coffee and myself will be calling the Central v North game...

And on Saturday, Chris Kendall, myself and possibly Ben Warren will be broadcasting the West v Adelaide clash from City Mazda Stadium...

Loooking forward to video streaming a select few games throughout the course of the season, as well...

Good team of callers generally, BP, but I notice you're doing every game, whereas several good callers are only doing one game?

Don't get over-exposed, mate.

Just to back up Big Phil here is is only calling one game and providing some special comments support for the 2 others.

He needs to be at all three to go through the set up and use of what is new equipment for all callers. Due to this coming together so late it needs to be done live at the games.

Could not think of a better person to co-ordinate the commentators for the coverage.

Good luck to all those involved.

Yes, Lee, I am concious of that mate, but thanks for pointing it out...

As PhilH said, I'm not calling all 3 games, just ensuring the coverage gets to air with the new set up and perhaps hosting the calls...

In terms of play-by-play calling, I am only commentating the West v Central game on Saturday...

I wasn't going to be a aprt of the coverage tomorrow night, but Grant Coffee had to withdraw due to other committments...

The likes of Dennis Browne and Darryl Smith may make an appearance or two throughout the course of the year, depending on scheduling and availability, and when there are all games broadcast on the same day, you may also hear the likes of Jim Hough, Adrian Pickles and John Callaghan...

Was hoping to get Kym Morgan involved again, now that he isn't working at The Advertiser but he declined my invitation due to a new business he is involved in...

No worries, thanks for the info.

The streaming last year was very ordinary, so improvement would be good.

The 4 non TV games (3 stream, 1 Life FM) this weekend will have 8 different play by play callers ... I hope that is diverse enough.

Couldn't agree more...

Would rather have people involved that know their product and are quality callers...

Matty Lokan from Glenelg has expressed some interest to be involved, when available, so will be looking to utilise him...

I will also look to bring in injrured players and other coaches that might want to dabble in some media...

You have a smorgasbord of injured players to choose from at Westies.
