As Big Phil posted, Sturt looking to recruit a Ruckman, from Croatia...

(Moved from the Ins and Outs List, as he's not actually an In yet.)

Good to see loyalty in the face of other offers.

Unless of course the other offers weren't as good as South's.

Great effort by the Panthers - Its unusual to get players in the SANFL to sign such long deals which is a credit to both the club and Brett. Most of the time players sign one year deal with interstaters usually signing 2 year deals when they cross the border.

Good news that he decided to stay with the Panthers and that we got a long term contract as well!

Quoted from SANFL site on Sept 17:

"This has taken on even greater urgency given former Magpies giant Angus Bruggemann and ex-Eagles forward Lee Staple have left after just one season at Unley.

Former Gold Coast Suns midfielder Jackson Allen has also advised the club he won’t continue next year as he will head home to Queensland."

Talk that Josh Glenn has walked from Gold Coast and could play with Central next season, if not locally in the Barossa...

Looking or told to look?

From Brisbane, isn't he, Lee?

Thought he may want to head home?

Just struggling to get opportunities this year, as we're well stocked for the positions he generally plays.

Yes, he's from Brisbane, but I think established OK here. Richard is well worth a chance at another club, I'd say.

not players, but some coaching ins

We are delighted to share our 2016 coaching appointments.

Kane Cornes will be joining us as a development coach/mentor/club ambassador. This is a great coup for the club and Kane is very keen to have an impact.

Adam Silvy has joined the club as an assistant. Adam is a past player of Glenelg and is a product of our country zone (Mt Gambier). He has coached Pulteney Old Scholars and more recently has coached the reserves at Sturt and been an assistant to Seamus Maloney.

Ben Moore also joins the Senior Coaching panel. Ben is a past Captain of Glenelg and spent a few seasons playing with Richmond. Ben has spent the past two years coaching Langhorne Creek in the Great Southern Football League.

Andrew Bruce has taken on the Reserves coaching role after coaching our Under 18’s this year. Andrew has had extensive experience at several SANFL clubs.

Michael McFadyen will continue in a coaching role in 2016. Michael has been at Glenelg for the last three seasons and has been a great support for Matt and also our playing group. Michael has a cricket background but his knowledge of SANFL football is outstanding and a great asset to have.

We are pleased that we have been able to put together a coaching group that will not only give great support to Matt but also have the knowledge and skills necessary to educate our playing group.

We look forward to 2016 as we continue to build a competitive playing list under the guidance of our refreshed coaching panel.

The coach that Josh had a run-in with is no longer at Central...

I wouldn't be so sure of it, eartotheground, but time will tell. As mentioned elsewhere, there is nothing official about him leaving GC Suns, yet.

You might know more about that, though, eartothrground?
