Josh ''bubbles'' Trembath is doing a pre season at South, there is no guarantee from South but they are willing to give him the chance over the summer............he's put on a bit more weight since this season ended & will have to work very hard to firstly get fit & more importantly impress the coach to get a contract

Just read this about Brock Castree on the Adelaide FC website...

http://www.afc.com.au/news/2015-11-16/development-duo-to-return

Adelaide FC wrote:Former Central District midfielder Brock Castree, who played eight games with the Crows this year, has also committed to another SANFL club.

I had heard that North Adelaide were enquiring about Brock late last year, so could be them, but I also contacted someone who knows Brock well and they seemed to think Brock has recently changed his mind and will just play local SAAFL footy next season...

Same article also mentions that former Central players Charlie Molynuex and Matt Stent will again be a part of the Adelaide State League squad in season 2016...

Norwood's Andrew McInnes is returning to Melbourne.
North officially announce the signing of Jordie McKenzie. I hear they beat several other SANFL clubs for his signature.

The connection with Melbourne and Mitch Clisby helped, as they were good mates from Mitch's time over there...

Yes, was identified by coach Ben Warren to fill one of the key positions for the Legs...

That is a blow for Norwood, for sure...

Premiership player Riley Milne has retired from the SANFL to play local football.

All other West premiership players have signed for 2016.

This is getting quite tiresome. Every time the Eagles sign a player an opposition supporter starts banging on about our salary cap.

It's not limited to the Eagles.

I agree Daddy Cool, if there was a major discrepancy the watch dogs would be all over it. That's the first and foremost official line.

Secondly, if it's the "brown paper bag" myth that some people like to perpetuate, then if one is doing it all are doing it. It would be naive to think any other way.

Finally, of all the clubs, the Eagles, with a well paid full time coach and football department along with small membership base would be one of the least likely to have brown paper bags sitting around.

Having said that, the Eagles have some sound major sponsors who are large organisations capable of offering "recruits" ( Redden isn't exactly a recruit ) employment opportunities as part of their overall package.

If people have a legitimate concern, become a whistle blower and contact the SANFL or ask their club to do it on their behalf. I bet the club won't, they've got their own interests to protect.

It's a rule that the Eagles are the only club to be subject to such murmurs

You need inside information to become a whistle blower, not a "legitimate concern". I think legitimate concerns are appropriate to post on a footy forum.

Good, we've established without "inside information" you're just pissing in the wind then.

Excellent, just check which way the wind is blowing people. Wink

So do I..

perhaps I'll re phrase my previous post as if obviously offended....

there seems to be a lot players at the Eagles playing for the love of the jumper... Wink

anyway Booney, not sure why the Salary cap would interest you anyway....your sanfl club is spending about 20 times more than a legitimate SANFL club..and doing it legally!!!

Go ahead, question it, but if you're questioning it because everyone else is and you have no information to support it, nor does anyone else, you're just whinging.

I think questioning it without any information is as legitimate as saying the watch dogs would be all over it also without any information.
