AFL Grand Final 2014 - Hawthorn vs Sydney

Post by Gingernuts on Mon Sep 22, 2014 10:34 am

Well here we are, grand final week already!

This season has flown, and at the end of it we have a rematch of the 2012 GF. Hawthorn vs Sydney.

No one can deny that these 2 sides have been the most consistent all year.

Who will win? The champion team, or the team of champions?

Discuss away.

Naw, poor Booney. There there.

Anyway.

I really want to see the Hawks get up this weekend. They are an impressive unit as I've said in another thread, and I think they really deserve another flag for their monumental season this year.

However, unfortunately I think Sydney will be too strong, and to my disgust Kurt Tippett will have a premership medallion around his neck by Saturday evening. Evil or Very Mad

Hawthorn good enough to beat Port Power who were in awesome form in the finals series
That's good enough to get them within 11 points of SS

So anyway - seems like everyone is super pumped for this GF. Laughing

I must admit it hasn't really captured my imagination.

Have thought about setting up a betting account just for fun - which one do you use Booney? What do others use/recommend?

This one https://www.beteasy.com.au has a special, free $50 bet on the GF when you join. Have just done so and used it for K. Jack for the Norm @ $13

All a much of a muchness really mate, I think.

Some of the punters I know are dead set on finding bonuses, free cash, free bets etc.....I can't be arsed, I work 50 hours a week and barely look at a computer on weekends.

So having said that, I use Tattsbet, this has the same tote odds for races as the TAB at the pubs here, that way I know what odds I'm getting on line are the same as the pub. They are Queensland based though, so they were not running a market on the next Adelaide coach, I have a Sportsbet account as well so I used that for that market.

Tattsbet is the one I use most.

Furthermore, from what I gather a lot of sites give you the boot once you demonstrate you are taking money off them. I've found Tatts are more generous when you lose money.....lol.

They give me the odd free $20 bet when my account gets low, they know I'll eventually top it up and won't break them.

I will tip the Swans to win this years premiership, they had the easier game last week and I think this will aid them late in the game. The Hawks were pushed to the limit last week by a fast finishing Power side.

Half time and Hawthorn are awesome.

Mitchell is an absolute gun.

How cool is Burgoyne under pressure.

Wrong thread, same topic. Not worth the bother. The post wasn't intended to be offensive but someone took it that way, so best to leave it alone. Good to see you're paying attention though.
